I think we should have a "lights out hour" for the community."lights out hour" is obivously were everyone will turn out all thier lights in thier houses, businesses, and others. This would save a lot of energy.
The first thing that we should do is to get recycling bins WHICH NOBODY HAS IN OUR SCHOOL! The next thing is that all used toilet paper should be recycled instead of flushed down the toilet. Also all the unconsumed water(i.e. flushed or orally consumed) should be drained into a bucket and reused. This will help deter pollution from the chemicals used to purify dirty water.
In order to go green at western high school it should be mandatory for us to shut off all the lights on wednesday. I also noticed that we leave lights on at night. Those need to be shut off to reduce CO2 emmisions from the air. Also paper needs to be recycled instead of the FFA picking up the paper and throwing it away in the dumpster. A bin could be set aside for aluminum cans for they could be recycled. Another bin could be set aside for plastic bottles. Our waxed milk and juice cartons can be recycled, and also single use batteries can be recycled as well.
Western should recycle anything that can be. They also need to put more effort and enthusiasm into "Going Green." Students can't be expected to do this on their own without guidance.
In order for us to go green, we need to get everything together and begin recycling, reusing everything possible, and we could all take naps throughout the day and have the lights off! It would be good for everyone to nap.
I think that we should used Real trays instead of styrofoam. We should switch to Mac Computers because they use less energy and parts in the computer are recyclable. We should have a recycle ben in the commens area for cans and ones in every room for papers. Turning lighs off every wednesday would help with how much electricity we use. & To clean our school we should use the going green products.
Get more garbage cans and label them with a certian recycling goods. More recycling bins too.
